Ethics and confidentiality

Editors must treat manuscripts as confidential, avoid using unpublished data, and report any ethical concerns to the editorial office. All decisions should align with COPE principles and journal policies.

Editors are expected to respond promptly to review outcomes and maintain transparent communication with the editorial office. Typical review targets align with the journal timelines (average review time: 9 days). Editors should document rationale for decisions and communicate next steps clearly to authors. Timely decisions keep special issue and regular pipelines on schedule.
