Journal of Peptides

Aims and Scope

Journal of Peptides is an international journal that provides a platform to share contributions related to chemistry, medicine, biochemistry, neurochemistry, endocrinology, gastroenterology, physiology, and pharmacology of peptides, as well as their neurological, psychological, and behavioral effects. It also concentrates on all aspects of peptide research which describes the investigations of these proteins in plants, animals, insects, vertebrates, and clinical studies in humans.

Peptides are chain molecules comprising two or more amino acids. Often known as the building blocks of proteins, peptides have a range of biological functions, including growth, hormone signaling, and cellular transport. While there is growing research and interest in peptide-related topics.

JOP accepts submissions in the fields of structural and functional peptides. Peptides are involved in a variety of biological processes, including protein synthesis, catalytic activity, energy metabolism, gene expression, signal transduction, intercellular communication, immune activity, and neuron communication. The journal seeks to provide a platform for researchers to widely disseminate and discuss novel findings related to the biochemical and physiological properties of peptides, peptide sequences, peptide drug delivery, peptide recognition, and structures of peptides.

The scope of JOP papers is broad, covering a range of topics related to peptides, including their structure, conformation, bio involvement, biotechnology, and role in disease. All articles are subject to rigorous peer review by experienced scientists, ensuring accuracy and quality. Our journal focuses on the exploration of peptide structure and function to better understand their therapeutic potential. As part of this mission, JOP encourages the publication of original research that highlights the development of novel therapeutic agents, elucidates their mechanisms of action, and elucidates their potential interactions with the target molecules.

Peptides (JOP) encourages the submission of contributions from all disciplines related to peptide research. This includes but is not limited to structural biology, genomics, proteomics, synthetic and analytical chemistry, bioinformatics, and cell and molecular biology, applied in the areas of biomedicine, pharmacy, and biotechnology. The journal's scope also extends to basic studies and the development of new methodologies in peptide research and drug design.

The mission of JOP is to promote the advancement of knowledge in peptide science, peptide therapeutics, and healthcare. We aim to provide an international platform for the exchange of ideas and research findings and to assist researchers in the development of novel therapeutic agents. JOP approach studies cover all aspects of peptide science, ranging from synthesis and characterization, to function, pharmacology, molecular biology, structure, and applications of peptides. The emphasis is on peptides that offer new functions and properties or expands the scientific or clinical potential of known peptides. Areas that are of particular interest include, but are not limited to, therapeutic peptides, cell-penetrating peptides, diagnostic peptides, biopolymers, peptide-protein recognition, peptide research, and development, including peptide synthesis, biology, nanotechnology, imaging technologies, proteomics, and drug delivery, structure, biochemistry, physiology, and pharmacology of peptides and their roles in the development of novel therapeutics, clinical practice, drug discovery, and peptide conjugation techniques.

JOP proposed a few keywords, that suit the scope of the journal, but are not strictly limited to these keywords. If you have any queries, send us an email at
