The editors who assess manuscripts for Journal of Weather Changes, with the affiliations and research interests recorded for each.
An editor's task is to reach a defensible decision on the evidence in front of them and to protect the process that produced it. Decisions rest on scope, scientific quality, methodological rigor, ethical compliance, reporting quality, and relevance to the journal.

How the board works
What editors do
The same sequence applies to every manuscript, whoever submits it and however it arrives.
Screening
All submissions undergo initial editorial screening. Manuscripts that meet the journal's scope and minimum requirements proceed to independent peer review.
Review
Single-blind by default; double-blind review is available on request. Manuscripts that proceed to external peer review are normally evaluated by at least two independent subject-matter experts.
Decision
Editorial decisions are based on scope, scientific quality, methodological rigor, ethical compliance, reporting quality, and relevance to the journal. They remain independent of fees, services, memberships, and editorial or reviewing roles.
Conflicts
An editor who has a competing interest in a manuscript passes it to another editor, and their own submissions are handled independently.

Joining the board
Serving as an editor or reviewer
Researchers working in atmospheric science, meteorology, forecasting or weather impacts who would like to review for the journal, or to be considered for the board, are invited to write to the editorial office at [email protected] with their subject area, methods and an ORCID iD where available.
Serving as an editor or reviewer confers no advantage in the review of that person's own submissions, which are assessed on the same criteria as any other.
