Aims and Scope

 

Journal of Women's Mental Health (JWMH) is an open access journal. It is devoted to the exploration of the mental health of women and girls, with a special focus on research, clinical practice, and health promotion. In addition, JWMH brings together the clinical, social, psychosocial, and biological aspects of women's health and well-being.


The journal provides a platform for the exploration of contemporary issues and problems that are relevant to women's mental health, including mental health disparities due to race, age, religion, socio-economic status, geography, sexual orientation, and other factors. In addition, the journal encourages the discussion of current research related to the early detection, diagnosis, and treatment of mental health problems in women.  


The journal also serves as a forum to discuss the advancements in clinical practice, health promotion, and public policy related to the mental health of women.  In addition, JWMH strives to promote the development and implementation of innovative, evidence-based care models that are designed to improve the overall mental health of women.


The aims and scope of JWMH are to bring together experts in the field of women's mental health and to provide a platform for the discussion of the latest research and developments in the field. The journal is committed to advancing knowledge surrounding the mental health of women and to serve as a bridge between research and practice.  The journal publishes both original research papers and review papers in the areas of clinical practice, public health policy, and health promotion. The journal also publishes case reports and commentaries that are related to mental health and women’s health. 


JWMH encourages the submission of papers from researchers, clinicians, and policy makers, which focus on the generation of new knowledge, the promotion of evidence based practice, and the evaluation of existing strategies for the advancement of women’s mental health. The journal emphasises research from a wide range of disciplines and perspectives.  The journal is committed to the publication of high quality papers that are scientifically sound, clearly written, and of general interest to the target readership.
