Membership in JHP

Optional arrangements for researchers and organizations planning open-access publication in human psychology.

Journal of Human PsychologyISSN 2644-1101Published by Open Access Pub

Purpose

Publication planning, separate from editorial decisions

JHP offers membership arrangements for individuals, students, institutions and organizations. They provide a way to discuss publication costs and administrative arrangements in advance. The written membership terms define the applicable period, eligibility, fees and any publication-cost coverage.

Membership is optional. Authors may submit without joining, and readers can access published articles without a membership or subscription. Every submission must fit the journal's scope and meet its scholarly and ethical requirements.

Arrangements

Choose the relevant inquiry

Individual
For a researcher or practitioner discussing publication arrangements for their own work.
Student
For students seeking the membership terms and eligibility requirements relevant to their circumstances.
Institutional
For universities, departments and research institutes coordinating arrangements for affiliated authors.
Organizational
For organizations supporting researchers whose manuscripts make a substantive contribution to human psychology. Funding and competing interests must be disclosed.

Basic, applied, methodological and conceptual contributions remain subject to the same psychological-fit test. Membership does not extend the journal's scientific scope.

Written terms

Confirm fees and coverage before joining

Request a written quotation from the editorial office before enrolling or making payment. It should identify the membership term, eligible authors and journal, charges, the extent of any publication-cost coverage, exclusions, and whether Special Issues or optional services are included.

Any fee arrangement applies only under its agreed terms. It does not guarantee acceptance, a publication date or eligibility for additional services. Membership fees and individual article processing charges should not be treated as interchangeable.

The journal's standard article processing charge and student rate are described on the APC page. The APC is charged after acceptance; submission and peer review are free.

Independence

The same editorial standards for every author

Editorial decisions are based on scope, scientific quality, methodological rigor, ethical compliance, reporting quality, and relevance to the journal.

Decisions remain independent of fees, services, memberships and editorial or reviewer roles. Membership confers no advantage in review, acceptance or manuscript handling. Editorial appointments and reviewer selection are separate processes based on relevant expertise.

Single-blind by default; double-blind review is available on request. Manuscripts that proceed to external peer review are normally evaluated by at least two independent subject-matter experts.
