Aims and Scope

Journal of Immunology and Geriatrics (JIG) is a peer-reviewed, open-access journal committed to advancing knowledge and research at the intersection of immunology and geriatrics. JIG provides a platform for researchers, clinicians, and healthcare professionals to promote scientific discoveries, foster collaboration, and enhance the understanding of age-related immunological changes and associated health challenges.

Scope & Focus Areas:

JIG publishes high-quality research, reviews, and case studies in key areas, including but not limited to:

  • Immunotherapy and Vaccinations: Innovations in immune-based treatments and disease prevention strategies.
  • Autoimmunity and Transplantation: Investigations into immune tolerance, rejection, and autoimmune conditions in aging populations.
  • Aging and Immune System Disorders: Understanding immune system decline, chronic diseases, and longevity.
  • Infectious Diseases and Gerontology: The impact of infections on older adults and advancements in geriatric medicine.
  • Drug Development and Precision Medicine: New therapies targeting age-related immune dysfunction.
  • Bone, Joint, and Musculoskeletal Health: Research on inflammation, osteoporosis, and degenerative diseases.
  • Preventive and Regenerative Medicine: Strategies for improving immune resilience and health outcomes.
  • Immunogenetics and Molecular Immunology: Genetic and molecular mechanisms of immune aging.

JIG also welcomes interdisciplinary research incorporating epidemiology, public health, community health, nursing, psychology, psychiatry, and health economics that contribute to a deeper understanding of immunology and aging.

Journal primarily publishes articles related to immunology and geriatrics, it may also consider submissions related to artificial intelligence (AI) as long as they are directly relevant to the understanding of immunological processes in the context of aging.
