Aims and Scope

The Journal of Thrombosis and Treatments (JTT) is an open access, peer-reviewed journal that focuses on all aspects of thrombosis, a major risk factor and challenge in clinical management of cardiovascular and thromboembolic diseases. The journal provides a forum for clinicians, academic researchers and industry professionals to present and discuss issues and advances related to thrombosis.

JTT is dedicated to publishing original, cutting-edge research dedicated to improve clinical care of patients with thrombosis and related conditions. Our main focus areas are basic science, clinical medicine, epidemiology, and translational medicine. Relevant topics include, advanced imaging techniques and tissue-remodelling strategies to understand, monitor and treat thrombosis, prognostic and mechanistic studies in thrombosis, novel and emerging treatments for thrombotic diseases, and the role of genetics and the immune system in thrombosis. Research findings from animal and clinical studies are especially welcome.

In addition, JTT publishes reviews and editorials discussing the latest developments in the field and expert opinions on the most recent findings. We also welcome case reports and opinion pieces to foster an in-depth understanding of the issues related to thrombosis and its management. Finally, JTT encourages authors to submit imaging-based research, including images and videos, in order to improve our understanding of thrombosis and address potential challenges in the field.

The focus is on the fields of blood coagulation and fibrinolysis, proteins and reactions, blood platelets and the interaction of all these components with other organic systems such as the vessel wall, blood cells, and infecting organisms, but is not limited to the same.
